The other month
on one of the Facebook pages
I frequent and post shit to
(I forget if it was
"Poetry Super Highway"
or "National Beat & International
Beat Poetry Festival Bulletin Board")
some guy referred to himself
as a 'literary maquis'--
the word looked familiar,
but I still had to look it up.
It was a slang term for
the French Resistance.
You know who's a goddamn
literary maquis?--
Robert fucking Desnos
You know who's not?--
the social media warrior
who posted the 852nd meme
on Trump sucking dick
that I've scrolled thru today
